Strange sights from the bus window

Back in the day I played in a band that traveled from gig to gig in a converted school bus.  It was painted white.  The seats had been rearranged, and it had four bunks and a compartment for the equipment.  I used to read while we were “on the road.”

One fine day, I was reading on the bus somewhere on a highway in North Carolina.  Everything was quiet. I noticed that a car had pulled beside us, but did not pass.  Most cars tried to get around us pretty quickly.  I looked and saw a read convertible with the top down.  The man driving had his pants around his ankles and was spanking his monkey.

I was shocked and screamed something to the effect of, “Holy shit! That guy’s jerking off!”  My band mates jumped to the left side of the bus to see what was what. The guy in the car took off, passed us, and took the next exit.

Looking back, I imagine that he thought we were girls since we had long hair and were all in our early twenties.  Even so, I’ve never been driving and felt an overwhelming need to rub one out.  I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go round.
